Although Zeeland is known for its quaint small-town feel, many global companies and their suppliers also call it home. It is a part of the west Michigan metropolitan area adjacent to Holland and Grand Rapids, approximately twenty-two miles west of Grand Rapids and about eight miles off of Lake Michigan.
With easy access to lakes, streams, hiking, biking and cross-country skiing, Zeeland provides many outdoor recreational opportunities. It also hosts several family-friendly events, such as the annual Pumpkinfest.
The Zeeland Public School System includes five elementary schools, serving grades K-5, two junior high schools and two high schools.
